A Melancholy Life

Time traveling back into my old journals again, friends.  Seems the theme of my life can be described in a word… Melancholy.
(Melancholy: a feeling of pensive sadness, typically with no obvious cause)

I used pastels with this drawing, circa 2007?

After being wrapped up in darkness, constantly in doubt, I couldn’t see the light, didn’t know how to find my way out.  Then I gradually felt hope surround me, and started to contemplate the possibilities.  I let go of the difficulties and began to wonder what my life might come to be.  But getting back on my feet has not been as easy as it seems.  Some days I feel completely beat, like the furthest thing from reach are my dreams.
